Dave’s Music Discovery #3
“Supersonic (my existence)” — Skrillex, Noisia, josh pan, Dylan Brady
This shit knocks my head off every time it drops. Love the hi-hats to add the riddim. I was never a huge dubstep guy, but this really got me.
“Big Steppa” — SWIM, grouptherapy
As soon as the drums dropped, it got me. Sounds like moonwalking up a flight of stairs.
“Fuck the Nordic Model” — Ghais Guevara
Love love love the sample in the beginning and how it drops into an aggressively haunted song.
“So Cool” — Big K.R.I.T
Another song that I completely missed, but wow, I haven’t been able to stop listening to this track. Ninety degrees in a blizzard.
“Boogeyman”— Maderanged
Mans is really rapping his ass off. Kendrick comparisons are apt, but can you blame em? “King Kong sat well till he met Denzel”
“On My Body” — UG Vary
This jersey club shit really gets me active. “I’m finna Go Ku” is fire; debate with the mirror. Sounds like an underwater club.
“Scrabble” — Nicholas Craven, Boldy James
This shit makes me wanna write better. Boldy floating like blunt smoke. Chicken Noodle Raps for the Soul.
“Bonus I’m Cappin” — Big Flock, Mon$ter
This song coming at the end of an album full of trap raps is so funny but also sad that niggas have to do this just in case their raps are used against them in court.
“Drive it like U stole it” — William Crooks, TYGKO
Concrete raps and distorted drums. A fire at a skatepark.
“Love You Better” — gum.mp3, Netanya
This guy is really good at making music, huh? Bring back SSX Tricky and let Gum do the OST.
“Trust Fund” — Lianwire
The first time I heard this song, I ran it back three times before I even got to the end. Runs thru like four different flows and two accents.
“A View From The Sky” — Harrison
something Bob Ross would paint to
“Honeymoon”— Don Toliver
don't fall in love in the strip club.
