Listen to the playlist

“Whole Lotta Grey” — $uicideboy$, Shakewell

Sounds like driving your car into the ocean. Brash with moments of wavy relief. The hard buzzed bass sits on my head like a halo.

“Charge it” — ENNY

Silk incense. The strings are elegant yet bawdy; kissing the guitar licks like sun rays. ENNY’s voice is perfect; weaving, potent and confident.

“TRiP” — V.C.R.

A sunny, psychedelic trip over the sunflower fields — a conversation with oneself about what is deserved in a relationship & putting your partner before yourself.

“Joint 3”Cisco Swank, Luke Titus, Malaya

Coated in smoke. A late night at the carnival by the peir.

“Na Na Na”Lay Bankz

An absolute banger. I want to run through a wall everytime I hear this. No notes.

“I Got My Education (remix)Uncanny Alliance, Big Dope, P. Feadz

Get ready to sweat. A great dance tune that would go great on the Initial D soundtrack.

“Caught In the Loop” — Tota

A slider. Street raps that hold a kind of resentment for how street niggas live.

“letstalkaboutit”  KAYTRAMINE, Freddie Gibbs

Sounds like rollderblading up an escalator. Freddie galavants over the beat like the Joker in an art museum. “Two girls sucking dick, I had my own Verzus”

“FOCUSED” — ICECOLDBISHOP

A late night at the function. Sweaty, fun and very LA. Bishop raps like a ghost Pokémon. Compton in October.

“Harry Potter” — Ricotrap

A diss to an ex. I play this whenever I need a good laugh. The Harry Potter adlib is genius. Adult Swim music.

“Kemmy Casanova: He’s Bad” — Akeem Ali

Leaning all the way into his Mac Daddy persona, Keemy Casanova, Akeem Ali is at his best when being as braggadocious as possible & this song is a perfect example.

“Shlumped Up” — Khakikid

Half drunk & high heading home after a long day at the beach. A lazy Sunday love song. Two stepping with no shoes on.

“Nas Morales” — Nas, Metro Boomin

I genuinely love how Nas puts you in the mind of a jaded Miles. The weight of the world surrounding him as he navigates forwards and upwards. “Nobody looks up no more so it’s easy to slide through, they can’t tell if the sky’s blue.”

“CGI” — corook

Glittery, beaming and cute. Sounds like those butterfly gifts you get for your partner.

“A Bird’s Last Look”  Macarbe Plaza

Sounds like Street Fighter level music(complimentary).

“Uncle M” — Young Thug

I genuinely caught the spirit when I heard this the first time. “I’m a flush, yellow xanny school bus” got me grinning from ear to ear.

“Win” — IDK

Love him over these jazz band beats. Clearly from the F65 sessions; the back half of the track is the band rocking out. Elegant & present. Wirly but steady.

“You Dont Trust Me” — Upper Reality, Mother Wata

A peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich. A sweet, welcoming song about loving someone through their apprehensions — more specifically black men who’ve been jaded by the world & bring that energy back home.

“Pop The Balloon” — Nothing But Thieves

Grand. Mechs fighting Kauji music. Has an amazing psychedelic interlude that propels you back into the madness like a paratrooper on D Day.
